On January 30, 2013, the Center for Civil Courage - for the first time in Serbia - presented Sabina Vajrača's film in the premises of Women in Black, Belgrade.

Back to Bosnia

"The title of the film in Bosnian / Serbian / Croatian is "On the way home, to a foreign land". That's a line from the song "Sevdalinka" by Dorde Balasevic, which I chose because to me it contains the whole mood of the film. The documentary follows the return of my family to Banja Luka, in the summer of 2003, when we were told we could come back and reclaim the property that was taken from us during the war. The main character is my dad Emir, through whose stories of Banja Luka during the war we slowly uncover the current situation there too, and eventually end up in our apartment, confronting the family that forced us out and that was still living there at the time."

a lecture was given before the movie

Silence about ethnic cleansing in Banja Luka

also a discussion with interested guests.
